Teaching Methodologies
The teaching methodology in the module will be web-based lectures, with a detailed presentation of the program contents. Use an expository active methodology, appealing the direct intervention of the students, favouring openly an abundant iconography instead of the detriment of a theoretical-descriptive teaching. The evaluation will include a written assessment and the presentation of a review paper on a topic covered in the program contents.
Learning Results
The student must acquire knowledge about:
New diagnostic approaches in the main areas of laboratory biomedical sciences;The state of the art of laboratory diagnostic methods;
Research projects in laboratory biomedical sciences;
Quality control in the laboratory;
The student must acquire skills that allow him to:
Select the appropriate laboratory diagnostic methods and techniques;
Interpret and autonomously discuss the results of a research project applied to laboratory biomedical sciences;
Perform quality control procedures in the laboratory;
The student must acquire skills that lead to:
Understand and discuss the most appropriate diagnostic methods in different areas of the biomedical sciences;
Critical understanding of laboratory procedures;
Competence in the interpretation and transmission of laboratory results.
