Biology (high school) and Chemistry (high school)
Teaching Methodologies
In order to achieve the objectives of the curricular unit, the teaching methodologies are based on: 1. the exposition by the teacher of contents related to the theoretical aspects of this unit curricular; 2. the bibliographic research oriented on some topics of interest; 3. the execution of practical laboratory protocols related to the each subject; 4. solving heredity exercises.
Learning Results
The learning objective of this Curricular Unit includes the introduction to the diversity of living organisms, namely cell structure and physiology, heredity mechanisms, plant histology and the bases for systematics. It is intended that the student acquire competences on the various levels of biological organization of organisms.
Program
The contents to be addressed are as follows: 1. Cytology and methods of study; 2. Systematics bases of living beings; 3. Comparative study of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells; 4. Heritability and evolution; 5. Histology and plant anatomy; 6. Groups of microorganisms: viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa.
