Base Knowledge
A BSc degree in Science
Teaching Methodologies
The teaching methodologies used are intended to provide an effective transfer of knowledge in a continuous
dialogue with the students that encourages and consolidates the process of teaching-learning.
The unit is taught in theoric and practical classes that combine more expository classes with laboratory
classes. The participation of the students will be encouraged in the adaptation of concepts to the resolution of
concrete situations. Audiovisual resources are used to facilitate the understanding of the contents.
The laboratory classes involve performing protocols with reports.
Knowledge assessment:
1Written
tests. The average of the marks obtained in the tests contributes with a 50% weight to the final result.
2Continuous
assessment in the class and presentation of reports of the laboratory work20%
weight.
Learning Results
Approval in this curricular unit gives the student the following skills:
Knows
the different types of biomass and their sources
Knows
the chemical composition of the plant biomass
Knows
the conversion processes of biomass to energy
Knows
the potential of different types of biomass as generating high value-added products
Knows
the methods of analysis of the chemical composition of plant biomass
Program
