Base Knowledge
The student should know how to apply the different audiological techniques: Tonal Audiogram, Vocal Audiogram, Impedanciometry, Auditory Evoked Potentials, VNG, Myogenic Potentials, vHIT, diagnostic and repositioning maneuvers for BPPV, among others, in the different contexts inherent to the internship sites.
Teaching Methodologies
Contact with the different audiological techniques with the observation and realization of exams according to the area of Audiology in which you are developing your learning internship.
Learning Results
The student should have contact observing and performing the techniques of one of the internship areas :
– Campaigns of Audiology Awareness and Screening within the community;
– Children’s Audiology;
– Aural Rehabilitation;
– Audiology diagnostic and changes in hearing;
– Audiology diagnostic and Rehabilitation of balance disorders;
The student should also be able to apply the acquired knowledge and correlate the results with the clinical context.
Program
Undertaking of exams/tests within the area students are performing their internship according to the proposed goals of the curricular unit.
