Teaching Methodologies
The curricular unit is taught in theoretical classes and theoretical-practical classes.
The teaching methodology comprises theoretical exposition, participation of invited specialists, analysis of studies,individual research and development and presentation of a work on a theme to be defined within the Curricular Unitsyllabus.
The evaluation includes the development and presentation of a group work with oral presentation (50%) and writtenevaluation (50%).
Learning Results
– Acquire multidisciplinary knowledge in science and technology associated with the components of Biology,Engineering, Medicine and Health.
– Know and frame biomedical technology as an interface between man and technology, namely in terms of diagnosisand treatment.
– Acquire knowledge about the basic concepts of technologies such as Medical Imaging, Nanomedicine or MedicalDevices.
– Recognize scientific research in the development of emerging biomedical technologies in the service of health,namely in their application in innovative treatments.
