Teaching Methodologies

The teaching of theoretical component is carried out using the expository method, using participatory exposure strategies, case studies and practical examples, using multimedia contents and exploitation of available information. The practical part consists in the development of a work in which every single student assesses his own ecological footprint. Debates will be organized on critical specific issues, based on the analysis of contents specifically prepared for this purpose

1.Global changes and main trends: Main indicators of global changes; The evolution of the global energy crisis; Depletion of non-renewable resources; Degradation of ecosystems; Pollution and waste; Poverty and food crisis

2.Practices and sustainability futures: Adaptation, mitigation, conservation and restoration measures in the face of global change; Conflict management around renewable resources; Social technologies; Sovereignty and food security; Rational use of energy and renewable energy sources; Eco-design and life cycle; Ecological footprint

3.Environmental education: The environmental impacts of touristic activities; How to increase awareness in touristic activities: methods and techniques of environmental education
