Teaching Methodologies

The training is oriented towards the integration of theoretical knowledge (T) with its practical objectification in physical exercises (P), present in almost all classes (TP). Students develop works in which they demonstrate their understanding of the subjects.
This uc is exclusively continuous/frequency assessment that includes the following elements:
Element 1 (40%) – Theoretical-practical work (TTP) (40 to 80 points);
Element 2 (40%) – Written tests (40 to 80 points);
Element 3 (20%) – Classroom participation.
The classification is obtained by the sum of the results in the 3 elements, but negative classifications in elements 1 and 2 (less than 40 points) count zero (0) points in the sum of the 3 elements.
The appeal exam has as a condition of admission the achievement of a minimum of 40 points in element 1 (TTP), and will consist of a theoretical test (100 points) and a practical test (100 points). To pass, students must obtain at least 50 points in each of the tests.

Learning Results

1. Acquisition of knowledge about conceptual models related to the components of physical fitness (PA) and physical condition (FC).
2. Acquisition of knowledge about physical exercises associated with the training of each of the physical-motor skills and sub-capacities that characterize PA.
3. Acquisition of knowledge about FA and FC assessment tests and batteries suitable for different contexts.
4. Acquisition of knowledge about principles and procedures for the correct application of FA and CF tests.
5. Acquisition of skills associated with the application of AF and CF assessment tests.

Program

1. Concepts of Physical Fitness (PA), Physical Condition (CF) and “Physical Fitness” (PF).
2. Terminological analysis associated with PA and FC: physical qualities, physical abilities, motor abilities, physical-motor abilities, factors and components of physical fitness and physical condition.
3. Identification and characterization of physical exercises associated with the training and development of physical-motor skills related to physical education, sports training and physical exercise related to health.
4. Analysis and contextualization of tests and assessment tests batteries for AF and FC.
5. Procedures for applying tests and test batteries related to the assessment of AF and CF.
