Teaching Methodologies

Detailed presentation of theoretical content using multimedia presentations, such as the use of specific programs and resources allocated to the planning and integration of information systems.

Exposition of the different programmatic concepts, and the assisted and autonomous resolution of practical exercises to consolidate knowledge of the subject and its application in a real context.

Carrying out debates on the themes developed resulting from the analysis of scientific articles and case studies, problem solving.

Learning Results

At the end of the course the student should be able to:

– Understand the relation between management, technologies, and the importance of an Information System
in business management;

– Analyse and plan Information Systems architecture;

– Know models, techniques, and tools to systematically, and in an integrator manner, develop the best
solutions of Information Systems, including

  • Standards and good practices for IS/IT management and planning (ISO/IEC 20000, ITIL, COBIT)
  • Tools for engineering and organizational modeling and integrated diagnostic and planning tools (business, IS and IT).
