Base Knowledge

User knowledge of programs used for common tasks. For example, Microsoft Windows Explorer, file compressor, Internet browser, Microsoft Office.

Teaching Methodologies

For each procedure, the objective is indicated, followed by an exercise. Each student repeats the procedure a second time on their own, immediately clearing up any doubts that may arise. The procedural guides are provided in the form of worksheets, and it is shown how the skills to be acquired are assessed.

Learning Results

  • Create text documents using automatic templates, styles, references and indexes, and custom mail merge tools.
  • Create multimedia presentations using good communication principles.
  • Searching the WWW, collecting, archiving and analysing data in information managers and spreadsheet tables.
  • Produce, select and edit photographs and texts for publication.
  • Know tourist activity specific applications’ terminology and basic functionalities.
  • Interact effectively with Turismo de Portugal professional portal.

  1. Installation and configuration of programs and credentials. Procedures for increasing computer security.
  2. Bibliographic management and information search on the WWW.
  3. Electronic management and processing of digital photography.
  4. Electronic pagination.
  5. Preparation and elaboration of diagrams.
  6. Presentation media.
  7. Spreadsheet and data analysis
  8. Word processing, document editing and template preparation.
  9. Use of PDF.
  10. Business presence on the WWW. Online sales and booking social sites. Turismo de Portugal online services.
