Teaching Methodologies

The learning process is developed through integration into a working group; in the development of the expressive abilities of the actor, as well as in the exploration and investigation of his language in confrontation with others in the collaborative creation of work scenes.
The culmination of this process will be the creation of an exercise from an epic piece using the poetic body.
The assessment is exclusively continuous (100%) as stated in Art 13.5 – Academic Regulation of the 1st Cycle of Studies at ESEC and will be carried out throughout the sessions, based on the following criteria:

1) Technical domain, application of theoretical knowledge and artistic creation, based on the exercises presented in class – 25%
2) Punctuality, integration in the work group and active and stimulating participation – 30%.
3) Elaboration and presentation of a dramatic exercise from an epic text in a minimum space – 45%

Learning Results

The student should be able to:
1. Develop the ability of play and complicitie.
2. Develop the work within a collective.
3. Identify and gradually overcome its difficulties as an actor.
4. Develop the capacity of investigation of the economy of the pysical actions and movement analysis.
5. Develop the capacity of creating a dramturgy from a text.
6. Develop Characters.
7. To realize and show short scenes of devised work.

In this discipline the students will be confronted with the fundamental principles of the Lecoq methodology. in a first moment we will explore the complicity and play in the creation of a work group. Finnaly we will work with dynamics of rithm, space and force and different acting levels with the objective of the students devise colaborative work and show practical exercices during the classes. As a final result present a group work on a text dramatic telling a epic story in a minimum space using the principles and fundamentals of the poetic body.
