This course describes the basic knowledge about the theory and practice of sensory integration of A. Jean Ayres.
The information transmitted is intended to offer the professional the tools that allow him to identify the main characteristics of sensory dysfunctions.
It is a basic unit for the beginning of Postgraduate Studies in sensory integration.
This unit serves for participants interested in postgraduate gain familiarity with the theory of IS. At the end of the UC course you will be given a UC2 pre-course package, consisting of a glossary of terminology, a list of mandatory and recommended reading, as well as a diagnostic questionnaire of level of knowledge in Ayres Sensory Integration®.
It is intended that at the end of The Unit, participants will be able to:
1. Enumerate the basic principles on the theory and practice of sensory integration;
2. Identify the different sensory systems;
3. Identify the main characteristics of sensory dysfunctions;
4. Recognize terminology in sensory integration.
