Learning Results
The objectives of this course start with the understanding of the key concepts related to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). In addition, we intend to deepen the perception of an ERP, while unifier of data and main functional components of an organization. It is also intended that the student identify the best practices in implementing these systems. Another aim of this unit involves the use of an ERP while supporting the business processes management and/or business process reengineering. Some practical skills associated with the implementation of an ERP will be added, including the ability to prepare a RFP (“Request for Proposal”) prepared to purchase an ERP. The ERP instantiation of a specific organization will also allow the implementation and testing of certain processes in an integrated management perspective. Finally, it is intended that the student balance out the main advantages and disadvantages associated with the implementation of an ERP system.
