Teaching Methodologies

Lectures will be used to contextualize the study area and delimit the contribution of different scientific fields to sports science. Theoretical and practical classes will also be provided, where students can explore the intervention of each of the areas of knowledge in sport. For a closer contact with the professional reality, it will also be provided the contact between students and different professionals related to Sports Sciences.

 

Learning Results

1. Understand the objects of study and epistemological contextualization of sport and physical activity sciences related to leisure activities.

2. Identify and analyze the contribution of different knowledge in order to understand the complexity of the phenomena associated with human motricity, sport and leisure, and in particular the importance of the fundamental knowledge of anthropological, historical, cultural, political, psychological, biological, biochemical, biomechanical, therapeutic, social, pedagogical, didactic and management of human resources and organizations. 

3. analyze and evaluate situations supported in physical and sporting activity, in the perspective of leisure, regarding the quality and suitability to the practitioner

4.1 Sociocultural area: history and sociology of physical activity and sport

4.2 Behavioral area: motor behavior, sport and exercise psychology and pedagogy

4.3 Biophysical area: biomechanics and physiology of physical activity

5. Delimitation of profession in sport, physical education and physical activity

6. Health and fitness professions

7. Teaching and training professions

8. Sports administration and management
