Teaching Methodologies
- Classes are supported by presentations, notes from teachers, and discussion of case studies.
- Small working groups (up to 4 students) will be created to carry out and prepare reports on practical work, whenever justified the practical work will be carried out in the field or in the machine hangar.
Learning Results
1. Know the principles of operation, regulation and maintenance of agricultural machinery and implements.
2. Know the safety rules in the use of machines and agricultural implements.
3. Plan the use of agricultural machinery, equipment and tools, rationalizing costs and preserving the natural resources and the environment.
Program
1. Diesel and Explosion Engines; Distribution, intake and exhaust systems, fuel supply, refrigeration and lubrication systems; Transmission systems. Hydraulic system; Steering, Brakes and Tires.
2. Agricultural land adaptation equipment; Soil tillage equipment; Equipment for the distribution of manure, slurry and solid fertilizers; Sowing, planting and transplantation equipment; Spraying and dusting equipment; Equipment for the control of weeds by physical methods; Harvesting equipment.
3. Process management basics. Evaluation of operational performance, study of times and movements, selection of agricultural machinery; Importance of punctuality in agricultural operations. Technical manuals of tractors and machines, impact on the environment.
