To develop the linguistic skills of students in order to improve their communicative performance;
To develop strategies for a more effective communicative speech – not only by underlining the most important
and various factors that influence the communicative act, but also by exploring the linguistic resources
available.
Program
Text and discourse:
Variety and function of discoursive genres;
Variety of texts;
Textual sequences: narrative, description and argumentation.
Language in working contexts:
1.Preparing formal presentations;
2.Ways to make formal presentations with the right performance and confidence of a secretarial direction and
administrative professional;
3.Meetings, conferences and company representations;
4.Obstacles to communication, not onlyinter-personal communication but also communication in the
companyorganization;
5.Speak in public/to groups;
6.Writing texts techniques suitable to different contexts: flyers; speeches and interviews; press-releases;
newspapers articles and newsletters.
