Teaching Methodologies

“Brainstorming”, work group, study skills, tutorials and oral exposure.Module 1 – Final exam: 5 or 10 values. Written
assignments option: 5 values. The written assignments are designed for groups of two students, and will be an
presentations of 10 minutes (5 minutes per student) in a joint public session to be held during the evaluation
period. In case of plagiarism, will be awarded the rank of zero values. Module 2 – Final exam on theoretical
component: 5 values. Final exam on practical component with laboratory assignments: 5 values. The written
assignments are designed for groups of four students, and will be an presentations of 15 minutes (per group) in a
joint public session to be held during the evaluation period in the last classes in the semester. The exam in regular
season of the 1st The exams of resource focus on both modules. There are not improvements per module. Exams
are always on the two modules.

Program

Module 1 – Theory:-One minimum of thermodynamically. The physical nature of energy.The principals of
thermodynamically. The most important variables and transformers thermodynamically. Yield of Thermal cycles.
Practical thermal cycles
-Renewable thermal energy: solar, biomass, geothermal, thermal-sea (OTEC). Photoelectricity. -Hydrogen and fuels
cells. -Energy of the waves.
Practical: Preparation, presentation and discussion of written papers on particular aspects of the Renewable
Energy. This work, with the themes set will be directed by the teacher during class periods TP and OT. Will be
published at the network of the ISEC. Troubleshooting illustrative of the Syllabus.

Module 2 – Theory:-Generation of conventional electrical energy. Nuclear Energy. Mini-Hydro Power stations. Wind Energy
Practical: Development of practical exercises of Mini- Hydro and a wind power station power stations for energy
generation. Works relating to Renewable Energy Laboratory.
