Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical-practical activities that allow to fix and develop the contents: oral and written expression, oral and written comprehension, writing topics. It may include: Presentation by the teacher; observation and contrasting analysis of practical examples, search and presentation by students, solving tasks by students.

Learning Results

Develop those same competences, using the knowledge they have and in contexts adapted to their level of language;

Understand, orally and in writing, instructions and explanations referring to everyday contexts;

Know the basic vocabulary of everyday life: free time activities, the house, physical and psychological states, family, etc;

Request and give information;

Argue and justify in simple contexts;

Describe objects, people, activities and personal tastes;

Be familiar with the pronunciation of Spanish;

Know the basic vocabulary of working life: invoices, delivery notes, furniture and consumables;

Meet some false friends to avoid misunderstanding and production;

Know some aspects of Spanish culture that help to better understand certain aspects of the language that students are studying and that facilitate their learning.

Grammatical contents
 The alphabet;
 The noun: gender and number;
 The adjective: gender and number. The apocope;
 Adverbs and adverbial phrases of time, place, manner, etc .;
 Determined and indeterminate articles; contract articles and cacophony;
 Possessives: adjectives and pronouns
 Demonstrative
 Undefined and other quantifiers (very / a lot; quite a bit, ...);
 The numerals: cardinal and ordinal;
 Present Indicative: regular and irregular morphology. Applications;
 Non-personal forms of the verb: infinitive, gerund and participle;
 Verbal periphrasis:
 Verbs ser, estar and haber: relations and oppositions;
 Verbs: pronominal (to like, to enchant, to seem) and reflexive;
 Pronouns: interrogative and exclamatory; subject personal, reflective and reciprocal;
 Copulative, disjunctive and adversative conjunctions;
 Prepositions
Functional contents
 Inform about himself and about others: name, origin, nationality, profession, etc .;
 Descriptions of people, objects and places;
 Talk about the position and function of someone in a company;
 Social conventions and formulas: greetings, goodbyes, drawing attention, apologizing, introducing yourself and others (formally and informally), knowing how to react, etc .;
 Give and ask for information about the existence and location of objects, people and places;
 Express tastes and preferences;
 Denote agreement, disagreement, doubt or security in an answer;
 Express and ask the time, when an event takes place;
 Express frequency;
 Make an appointment, a meeting: propose dates, give alternatives, etc.
 Talk about habitual actions in the present;
 Talk about projects;
 Express intention and purpose; cause, reason, explanation and justification; obligation.
 Know how to answer a phone call on behalf of oneself or another, excuse the absence or lack of availability. Take an errand.
