Learning Results
The students must be able to:
1.1 Identify the various forms of pollution, the main pollutants, their effects on the environment, their sources and their treatment techniques;
1.2 Classify natural and energy resources into renewable and non-renewable;
1.3 List and describe examples of environmental impacts on biodiversity and habitats and transboundary impacts;
2.1 Justify the pertinence of the pillars of Sustainable Development;
2.2 Explain how the environmental management principles provided for in the Law are applied;
3.1 List and describe the phases of the Environmental Impact Assessment of projects (EIA) and identify the intervening entities;
3.2 Distinguish the different EIA methodologies;
4.1 List and describe the Environmental Assessment phases of plans and programs (AA) and identify the intervening entities;
4.2 Indicate similarities and differences between the EIA and the EA;
4.3 Justify the need to use a strategic methodology to carry out EA.
