Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical (T), and tutorial orientation (TO) classes. Final evaluation by a multiple choice and quick answer questions test. Rating 020, with success achieved when equal or higher than 10, with rounding to the nearest tenth. Possibility of two frequencies, of the same type of the final exam, only dispensing the final exam when getting a pass in both.

Learning Results

Teach students of this area of engineering the basic principles, with some detail in some aspects, of the structure and way of functioning of the human body, for them to naturally and clearly understand the principles, way of functioning and aims of the diagnostic and therapy devices in use and to be invented in the area of medicine, human included.

Genitourinary system.
Kidneys and urinary tract. Anatomy, histology and function.
Male and female genital tract. Anatomy and functions.
Digestive tract. Anatomy, histology and function.
Central and peripheral nervous system. Physiology of nerve fiber and muscle fiber.
Eye and vision anatomy and physiology.
Ear, hearing and equilibrium anatomy and physiology.
