Teaching Methodologies

In this curricular unit the formation will be guided by the principle of integration of theoretical knowledge, in practice perspective of intervention that enables the interdisciplinary contents. Although organized separately, will be treated to form links between theoretical knowledge (exposure and dialogue), experimentation and observation / analysis.

This practical curricular unit will have an exclusively continuous evaluation [100% = 20 values] considering the items:
1) Practical tests- performance bodily/expressive movement (90% )
2) Participation (10% )
Under point 8 of article 13º of the Academic Regulation of the 1st cycle of studies at ESEC, the student must meet the following specific conditions for access to the exam: have attended 60% of the classes and in the continuums evaluation have a minimal classification of 50% on item 1).
The exam have a practical test (100%).

Learning Results

1. Acquiring the body awareness by experience and analysis of multiple practical situations, to allow develop a corporal spontaneity.
2. Develop creative capacity by recreating movement and choreographic forms, according to the movement elements and portuguese and international traditional dances.
3. Knowing the essential elements of scenic movement: body, space, time, energy and relationships.
4. Develop observation capacity and interpretation of motor behaviour.
5. Develop creativity and imagination kinetic in order to use movement as a means of communication.

Program

1. Portuguese and international traditional dances.
2. Movement elements: body (body parts, locomotor action ( dislocations, steps, turns, jumps, falls and no locomotor (gestures) – and forms (posture and balance)), space (self / general – paths, directions, levels, planes and volumes), time (rhythm, duration and speed), energy (weight and fluency) and relationship (I / I, I / other, I / small group, I / large group and I / objects and environments).
