Teaching Methodologies

n this curricular unit the work methodology will be, predominantly, practical. The different activities proposed will be developed individually, in small and/or large groups, aiming at the gradual acquisition of expressive/communicative skills through Dramatic Expression.

The evaluation process will be guided according to the principles of continuous evaluation and will have the following weighting (100%):

  A) Practical activities (75%)

1. Participation, performance and evolution of students in tasks and activities proposed in class.

2. Student behaviours, attitudes and attendance.

B) Theoretical-practical activity (25%) 1.Elaboration and presentation of an activity plan that articulates dramatic and musical activities in a formal or non-formal educational context.

Assessment by exam: 100%

Learning Results

1. Use the body and voice in a conscious and controlled way as a communication tool.

2. Understand and use dramatic language as a significant element of expression/communication from experiences, memories, images, emotions and ideas.

3. Explore and creatively use elements of dramatic language.

4. Relate Dramatic Expression, as an initiation to an artistic language, with the global development of personality and knowledge of the cultural and social environment.

5. Relate Dramatic Expression with music, with similar modalities and with other forms of knowledge

Program

1. Development of skills and change of behavior and attitudes through dramatic activities: cooperation, communication, self-expression.

2. Dramatic play, creativity and expressive languages.

3. Games and exercises using different inducers.

4. Dramatic Expression as a working element in different teaching/learning contexts.

5. The articulation between Dramatic Expression and Music – methodological possibilities in different educational contexts
