EVALUATION METHODS
The assessment in the course will take place, at the option of the student, in the following ways:
– Continuous evaluation;
– Exam.

The evaluation in those modalities will obey criteria that will be explained in the statements and/or other elements presented, according to the following components and percentage:

CONTINUOS EVALUATION
– Practical assignments – 75% of the global assessment;
– Graphic diary – 25% of the global assessment.

EXAM
– Mastery of program content- 100% of the exam’s global assessment.

3.1- Deepen and consolidate knowledge of drawing techniques;
3.2- Carry out preparatory colour studies, with applications to graphic exploration, painting and illustration;
3.3- Deepen the practice of observation and recording of various objects, and outdoor and indoor spaces;
3.4- Develop the practice of drawing in atelier;
3.5- Trying out proposals for personal interpretation of contemporary graphic languages;
3.6- Develop appropriate compositional strategies for a conceptual approach.

4.1- Basic techniques
4.1.1- Drawing with charcoal, pastel and crayon;
4.1.2- Drawing with pen, ink, markers and ballpoints;
4.1.3- Drawing with brush.

4.2- Contemporary drawing;
4.2.1- Contour;
4.2.2- Form: positive-negative, silhouette and levelling;
4.2.3- Movement;
4.2.4- Space;
4.2.5- Texture;
4.2.6- volume modelling, lightning, shadows.

4.3- Materials, grounds and accessories
4.3.1- Pastels, pens and inks, watercolour, china ink, brushes;
4.3.2- Drawing papers.
4.3.3- Accessories: erasers, knifes, drawing boards, how to keep and protecting drawing papers.

4.4- Drawing studio work
4.4.1- Visualization and representation;
4.4.2- Imagination and phantasy.

4.5- Representation of human figure
4.5.1- Measurements and proportions of the human body – canon and module;
4.5.2- Proportion, scale and volumes;
4.5.3- Form and expression;
4.5.4- Perspective and figure;
4.5.5- Pose and gesture.
