Module 1

1. Introduction to Environmental Certification. History of environmental certification. Environmental management tools (environmental licensing, life cycle analysis, environmental audit, ecological footprint, ecodesign, risk analysis, environmental indicators, environmental labeling). Legal and regulatory framework.

2. Environmental and Quality Certification: Standards 9000, 9001 and the 14000 Series (ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems; ISO 14004 Audits), Environmental Performance Assessment (ISO 14031 and ISO 14034, LCA and labeling). EMAS – Community Eco-Management and Audit System. Integrated Environment, Quality and Health and Safety Systems (ISO 45001).

4. Environmental performance
