Base Knowledge

Elementary knowledge of agricultural activity.

Teaching Methodologies

Active participation in tasks related to the practice of the profession.
Integration into work teams of professional character or in a laboratory or experimental work field. Bibliographic search and analysis of publications on the contents of the UC.
Students of special procedures, which is not able to meet the minimum number of required presences is provided the opportunity to make an equal number of hours of work with performance assessment, outside the normal classroom time but date not exceeding the first day of the normal examination period of the semester.

Learning Results

Perform basic techniques related to agricultural and livestock production, as part of practical activities in agriculture, livestock farm, in the experimental fields or in laboratories of the ESAC

Program

1. Field crops, fruit crops, vegetable crops, herbs, culinary plants, medicinal plants and vines.
2 Operation and maintenance of farm machinery
3 Pastures, fodder and other feed products.
4­ Poultry, cattle, goats, horses, sheep and farmed leporidae.
5­ Composting, waste and effluent management.
6. Other activities in support of agricultural and livestock production.
