This subject aims at developing the student’s skills and understanding regarding the process of formation,
implementation and assessment of public policies, as well as the main issues/challenges faced concerning the
main public policies. It is expected that the student understands both the problems faced by public decisionmakers
and the choice of alternative policies as a way to tackle these problems and the implications of certain decisions.
