During the classes, there will be a presentation of the syllabus by the teacher, as well as analysis and discussion of texts, by the students, texts previously selected and made available by the teacher to establish knowledge and skills (analysis of sources, argumentation, oral communication, etc.).

The assessment was organized in accordance with the academic regulation of the 1st IPC Study Cycle. In this sense, continuous aviation will involve the organization of a work and its oral presentation: 35%; practical work by the student, inside or outside the classroom: 15% and a written test: 50%.

The exam evaluation will involve a written test: 100%.

1.  Acquire specialized and structuring skills on International Relations.

2.  Interpret and relate the paradigms and different theories and Schools of International Relations.

3. Know the main events that marked the history of International Relations

4. Understand the European Union’s own actions and policies.

5.  Understand Portugal’s position in the International Relations system.

6.  State the phenomena that most influence International Relations today.

II.From Europe from the Old Regime to the First World War: events to be highlighted.

III. From the Treaty of Versailles to the end of World War II: collective security and peace.

IV. European Union institutions and policies.

V. Portugal in the European International Relations System and the World System.

VI. Globalization and the new international issues.
