Teaching Methodologies

The content will be presented and worked out on a theory and practice approach. Thus, in the class context,
will explore concrete examples of the most common studies and its instruments of data collection, in addition
to promoting reflection on the analysis and discussion of results and conclusions obtained. Will also be
created situations that lead to the formulation of research problems and hypothetical research sub-problems
from which will be the creation of situations of teaching and training of data collection processing and
analysis/discussion.
Will also use, for support, the school e-learning platform and referenced documents for the study of the
syllabus.
The evaluation will be realized through an individual oral test, based on the teach contents, and by
presentation of a problem work-study and the consequent process of collecting design, processing, results
analysis and discussion.

Learning Results

1. Know the main investigation lines in Play and Early Motor Development (PEMD), Motor Development (MD),
and in Sport Sciences (SS), and identify predominant research methods.
2. Survey conception, validation and application.
3. Mathematic analyze knowledge and data statistic using adequate software.
Skills
1. Identify the predominant research methods used in PEMD, MD and SS investigation, and understand its
framing in produced scientific investigation.
2. Apply the methodologies and proceedings of survey construction and application.
3. Develop adequate proceedings to the application of retraction techniques and the analyze of qualitative and
quantitative information, taking consideration the advantages and limitations.
4. Analysis, interpretation and discussion of the investigation results, realized by itself, and for other
investigators, in the Master Degree specialization area.

3. Fundamental mathematic analysis and survey data statistics using adequate software.
