Exam Evaluation: Individual written test – 100.0%

a) Understand and know how to use the accumulated scientific knowledge about the main features of human communication, its functions and the many variables that you associate;
b) Recognize the determinants and effects of communication processes;
c) Understand the importance of developing communication skills to pursue a professional career in Media;

1) Characteristics of human communication process:

a) Models for the study of communication processes,

b) Functions of communication,

c) Determinants and laws of communication

d) Problems and barriers to communication.

2) Studies and theories about the processes of human communication:

a) Pressures on autonomy and psychological reactance,

b) Cognitive dissonance and social comparisons

c) Change of opinion and persuasive communication;

d) Social perception

e) Causal attributions and explanation of subjective social realities.

3) Applications to the field of Social Communication

a) The construction of perceived credibility, competence, sincerity and trustworthiness of communication agents;
