Teaching Methodologies

Periodic Assessment — takes place throughout the academic semester and which consists of an individual theoretical component of a written test with a weighting of 50% of the final grade and a component of work(s) preferably in group with a weighting of 50% of the final grade.

Assessment by Exam — Assessment method that takes place at the end of a training period, through an individual written test with 100% weighting in the final grade.

Students whose final grade is equal to or greater than 9.5 will be approved.
Students who obtain a classification between 7.5 and 9.4 in the exam modality will be entitled to a complementary oral test, and in this situation, the final grade will correspond to the average of the obtained classifications.

To understand the scope of sociological reflection and its relationship with other Social Sciences in the analysis of leisure and tourism.
To apply sociological concepts and perspectives to the analysis of leisure and tourism.
To recognize the importance of leisure in general and tourism in particular in today’s society.
To perceive tourism as a total social phenomenon, its determinants and its impacts.
To know the social factors that condition the preferences and behaviors in the leisure domain.
To comprehend the evolution of leisure as a consequence of the transformation of society.
To know the conditions of the development of tourism in societies issuing and receiving tourists.
To relate the profiles of tourists and types of tourism with their natural and sociocultural impacts and its moderatos.
To understand the importance of natural and cultural heritage for Tourism.
To identifyr forms of social and cultural exchange provided by the tourist activity and its consequences.
