Teaching Methodologies

The methodology to be used combines the theoretical and practical component with the observation of the 1st CBE contexts. It includes in a sequential way: a) lectures; b) analysis, presentation and debate of themes; c) field observation and post-observation reflection.
Evaluation: (Theoretical-practical component + training period component): 2= Final mark
Theoretical-practical component (50%) = theme assignment – 25% + Log – 20% + participation 5%.
Training period component (50%) = Field week – 10% + report – 40%.

Assessment by examination: (50% examination in replacement of theoretical component practice + 50% component stage).

Learning Results

– Understanding the purpose of each level/cycle of education in the structure of Basic Education by perceiving it as the adequate response the current needs of the recipients.
– Observing diferent dimensions in the educational context of 1st CBE.
– Distinguishing the role of the diferent components of training in the 1st CBE and the ways in which they articulate.
– Relating the practices observed/developed in an educational context with the specific ways of curricular and pedagogical organisation of the 1st CBE.
– Understanding the schools’ organisation and management within the groupings.
