The classroom methodologies are based on analyzing legal documents by solving an exercise worksheet every week, and whenever appropriate, discussions will be promoted to explore issues of key interest. This means the implementation of expository and demonstrative teaching methods. The method of discovery will be explored through the proposed exercise worksheets. To obtain approval (minimum score of 10 marks), students must choose one of the following assessment methods:
1) Exam
Assessment by final exam consists in the completion of a single written test of knowledge (100%), to be held in the respective assessment periods.
2) Continuous/periodic assessment
The continuous/periodic assessment results from the following assessment parameters
a) two individual test assessments of knowledge (40%+40%);
b) exercises/ worksheets during the classes (20%).

Provide students with the necessary theoretical information to understand legal principles and bases that reule the political and legal system in Portugal;
Promote understanding about the Government’s role in the portuguese tourism development, in particular by understanding the public tourism policy in Portugal;
Raise awareness about different roles of various public and private organizations working in different areas of the tourism sector, facilitating the understanding and distinction between their place and mission;
Instigate knowledge about the main tourism governing rules in Portugal and their contents.
