Práticas pelos alunos sobre as técnicas previamente demonstradas pelo docente.

Acompanhamento da atividade de um ferrador profissional na ESAC, sempre que possível.

• Know in depth the constitution of the horse’s hoof;
• Be aware of the balance of the hull;
• Know the materials involved in the main steelmaking operations;
• Carry out the cut and correct cut of the hull;
• Know how to ride a horse;
• Know how to shoe a horse;
• Know the main corrective shoeing methods.

Only students with a minimum of 75% attendance at classes actually taught are admitted to continuous assessment.

The continuous assessment will consist of two work instruments:

• written assessment - 50%
• practical assessment of practices performed during classes - 50%
• the final grade will result from the formula: written assessment x 0,5 + practical assessment x 0,5

Each and every student will only be able to obtain an evaluation by frequency, with a maximum of 25% of absences from classes effectively taught, not justified.

The assessment under examination will consist of:

• written assessment - 50%
• practical assessment of practices performed during classes - 50%
• the final grade will result from the formula: written assessment x 0,5 + practical assessment x 0,5
