Teaching Methodologies
As this curricular unit has a strong practical focus, it is appropriate to use active teaching methodologies that combine structured theoretical presentation with active student participation in practical activities. Methods such as dialogue-based lectures can be used to introduce fundamental concepts and contextualize their application, encouraging interaction and clarifying doubts during the explanation.
Additionally, the use of case studies and practical simulations is essential, where students, individually or in groups, analyze real audit situations, identify risks, define substantive procedures, and prepare parts of audit reports. This method promotes experiential learning, developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application skills of theoretical knowledge.
Finally, learning will be reinforced through formative assessment strategies, such as short online quizzes, practical exercises graded in class, and continuous feedback on completed work. This regular monitoring allows the teaching process to be tailored to students’ needs, encouraging independent study and the progressive development of skills.
