Artes e Educação Física na Educação Pré-Escolar

Teaching Methodologies

This curricular unit will be orientated towards the gradual development of an artistic discourse, involving the artistic areas. Thus, the Art Education sessions will cover the specificity of the four expressions, divided into periods of theoretical exposition and practical activities, thus favouring the domains of Interpreting, Creating and Appreciating the content covered.

In this curricular unit, Physical Education is geared towards the practice, analysis and planning of motor activities, with teaching divided into theoretical exposition and practical component.

Assessment will be continuous or by exam.

Continuous:

1. Project/Work – development of activities based on an artistic reference – 60% (15% for each artistic area)

2. Project/work to develop Physical Education activities corresponding to motor and educational quality benchmarks – 15%

3. Presencial participation – 25% (5% for each area of knowledge)

Exam:

Theoretical test (100%).

Learning Results

1. Artistic Education (AE):

1.1. To know and to know how to use the arts elementary language, adapting them to the needs of Preschool students, using expression’s techniques and strategies that integrate the fields of artistic experimentation, process-creation and analysis.

1.2. Analyze, appealing to sensory  and percetive domain, an artistic work as a reference for the development and experience of expressions integration activities.

1.3. Develop and implement interdisciplinary intervention projects inserting them in the various curricular learning experiences, adapting them to the needs of Preschool students.

2. Physical Education (PE):

2.1 Knowing and being able to apply PE content, using techniques and strategies that respect the development and motor behaviour of Preschool children and their needs.

2.2. Analyse and plan PE activities using motor skills and physical fitness in childhood, games, play and the affordances management.

Program

1. Artistic Education

The arts as a didactic methodology – study and design of exercises suitable for Preschool based on the following content:

1.1. Visual arts, teaching and education.

1.2. Conceptualization and practices in visual expression and communication.

1.3. Interpreting/creating with the language of Dance, developing expressive activities based on solving problems with different starting points.

1.4. Theatre versus Dramatic Expression.

1.5. Integrating theatrical language in formal and non-formal education – methodological proposals.

1.6. Understand music as a creative tool from a multi, inter and transdisciplinary perspective.

1.7. Develop strategies for the creation and development of musical projects in a non-formal perspective.

2. Physical Education (PE)

2.1. PE and PE Didactics applied to Preschool, in the design of the teaching process, activities and motor learning tasks, appropriate to motor develop and physical fitness.
