Teaching Methodologies
The theoretical classes are aimed at the detailed presentation of the contents. An expository-active methodology is used on them, appealing to the direct intervention of the students discussing clinical cases in order to develop the reasoning and critical spirit of discovery and pathological evolution.
Learning Results
The student must acquire knowledge of:
• Pathology of all human systems
• Distinction between normal and abnormal function of all systems of the organism
• Identification, by system, of the most frequent pathological processes to its aetiology, epidemiology, symptoms, signs, prognosis and treatment
• Recognition of complementary diagnostic of reference exams for each pathology
The student must acquire skills:
• Recognition and description of the signs and symptoms of most frequent pathologies
• Recognition of the relations between signs and symptoms with complementary examinations, treatment and specialized intervention in pathologies
The student must acquire competences of:
• Retain and develop knowledge of pathology
• Know the referral processes, development and treatment so as to be able to advise autonomously and responsibly within a team of health professionals
• Make the correct reasoning and taking the right decisions for each clinical case
Program
Concept of pathology disease and syndrome, signs, symptoms, treatment, cure, result and consequence;
Realization of anamnesis and objective examination
Diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteoarthritis, inflammatory pathology and fractures), Cardio-Thoracic (Arterial hypertension Atheromatous Plaques, Heart failure, valvular heart disease and peripheral artery disease), Digestive (Diseases of the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, liver and Biliary Atresia), Urology (Kidney Diseases, urinary tract, bladder and prostate), Reproductive (Ovarian pathology, tubal pathology, uterine pathology, vagina pathology and external genitalia) and Central Nervous (Brain diseases and Cerebellum).
Infectious Pathology and somatoform.
Different complementary diagnostic exams, to perform before the pathological situation.
Most pharmaceuticals indicated for the control and treatment of each pathological situation in accordance with the recommendations of the therapeutic chart.
