Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methodology adopted is based on the exposition of the fundamental concepts of cartography and on the interrogative method to encourage the spirit of reflection. In addition, a strong practical component is expected that will play a relevant role in motivating students to work with Geographic Information Systems.

Learning Results

The objectives of micro-credentialing are:

a) understanding national geographic information data sources;

b) applying spatial analysis processes using geopackage;

c) using geographic information systems in various fields of knowledge.

Program

1. Fundamentals of geographic information and master the specific vocabulary;

2. Geographic information search;

3. Cartography and reference systems; cartographic projections; relationship between coordinates; georeferencing;

4. Map viewing, exporting and printing maps.
