Learning Results
The distribution of food products is one of the factors that constitutes a sector’s competitive advantages. The internationalization of the economy therefore requires greater care not only in production, but also in the service provided to the consumer. This course has been designed with the main objective of providing the necessary knowledge for good strategic management of the Distribution Chain in the Agri-Food System. In a systemic way, the main concepts associated with the distribution, trade and logistics chains will be explored, as well as how to manage the value of information in the chain and how to support decision-making throughout the logistics system of any organization. The student should know the basic concepts of distribution channels, the basic concepts of logistics and its attributes, the basic techniques of merchandising and its relationship with production and understand consumer behaviour in the store.
