Teaching Methodologies
According to Section 5 of the Regulamento Académico do 1.º ciclo de estudos da ESAC, each student is assigned an internal supervisor based on the area of work to be developed. The training period plan is drawn up by the student, their external and internal supervisors, and lists the objectives and activities.
Students will learn and train in a work environment, acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills directly. They will have support from their supervisors, with the internal supervisor focusing on providing theoretical contextualization and help with the preparation of the training period report and presentation.
Learning Results
The internships take place in companies, institutions and entities with whom ESAC establishes collaboration protocols, thus constituting a first contact with the world of work. The purpose of the internship is to apply the knowledge acquired in the remaining courses of the degree to specific situations, looking for solutions independently. It is also intended that students develop their work skills, either as a team or independently, the ability to communicate and the ability to synthesize information.
Program
This curricular unit has no syllabus, since what is intended is the application of the syllabus of the remaining courses of the degree. In accordance with ESAC regulations, students are accompanied during the internship by an external advisor (member of the host institution) and an internal advisor (an ESAC professor) who will provide, if necessary, knowledge on matters not yet addressed regarding to the specific work that the student will develop
