Teaching Methodologies

Verbal methods (exposition, explanation, dialogue, debate, interrogation), intuitive methods (demonstration, audiovisuals, texts) and active methods (group / team work, case studies, exercises, presentation of reports / papers) will be used.

Learning Results

In the course of Events Organization it is intended that students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about the strategic importance of events in the field of natural heritage and ecotourism. Thus, students should develop personal, technical and professional skills that will allow them to plan, organize, disseminate and evaluate events, among other specific objectives:

1. Identify the different types of events, their objectives and potential partners;

2. Know creativity elements and approaches concerning the technical production of events;

3. Develop the basic concepts of event management projects;

4. Implement the inherent phases to the organization of an event: planning, budgeting, control, coordination and evaluation;

5. Develop marketing techniques associated with event communication and publicity;

6. Apply principles of protocol;

7. Advise any organization on good practices of promotion and organization of events, using sustainable guidelines.

Program

1. Tourist events: Conceptualization and strategic importance; Typologies, classification and impacts; Evolution and trends

2. The organization of tourist events: The triad: Pre-event / Event / Post-Event; Organization phases and planning; Negotiation with partners and customers

3. The operation of tourist events: Management, control and monitoring of logistics; Protocol principles; Good practices of promotion and organization of events, using sustainable guidelines.

4. Monitoring and evaluation of tourist events: Monitoring and evaluation tools; Analysis of results and preparation of the final report
