Agriculture and Agricultural Machines

Teaching Methodologies

Classes are supported by presentations, teacher notes, and discussion of case studies. Depending on the type of content taught, questionnaires will be prepared for individual response or small working groups (up to 4 students) will be set up to perform and report on practical work, whenever justified, the practical work will be carried out in the field or in the machinery hangar .

Learning Results

1 – Understand the techniques of plant production and cultural operations used in different production systems;
2 – Know the main equipment of the farm and its efficient use;
3 – Determine the work capacity of the tractor-equipment set; estimating the profitability threshold of different mechanized systems;
4 – Know the basic principles of precision agriculture and the operating technology of the equipment available on the market;
5 – Select the most suitable set to mechanize a given operation, within the established quality and environmental protection standards.
