Course Objectives

The postgraduate course in Web Design and Usability aims to deepen students’ knowledge in the areas of design and usability applied to the web context.
To this end, approaches that combine different communicative frameworks will be privileged, to provide and accentuate different views on the applicability of design and usability in digital interfaces.
Through the course, students will be able to understand and apply different means of designing, processing, prototyping and producing digital interfaces, in order to develop high-quality projects that meet the needs of users and companies.

Topics such as graphic design for the web, responsive design, digital product management, accessibility, usability, user-centered design, interaction design and Web design will be covered. In addition, the course will also provide a broad view of trends and innovations in the design and technology market, allowing students to develop up-to-date and relevant projects.

Thus, postgraduate studies in Web Design and Usability aim to train professionals capable of working in technology companies, digital agencies, start-ups, and other sectors by training professionals specialized in web design and usability.

Access Conditions

The following can apply for the Postgraduation: a) Holders of a degree in design and IT; b) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the degree by the ESEC Technical-Scientific Council; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the ability to carry out this course by the ESEC Technical-Scientific Council.
