Teaching Methodologies
The teaching of this subject will be divided in three parts:
– a theoretical part with the exposition and illustration of the theoretical foundations,
– a practical part with problem solving,
– a laboratory part with the usage of equipment and software to enhance learning outcomes.
Learning Results
After attending to Information Technologies course, each student should
Be able to efficiently use the computer to solve several kind of problems, namely using a spreadsheet;
Have fundamental knowledge on computer programming, in particular VBA used in Excel;
Know how to use and create a database in Access.

– Construction of efficient tables and their relationships
– Creation of selection queries and action queries (insertion, update, and delection)
– Forms and reports creation
c) Connecting Microsoft Access to other programs: link to Word and Excel, import/export data
