Course Objectives
These superior technical professionals in Electromechanical Maintenance who will be formed in this course shall have the ability for, autonomous or integrated in a team to perform design, planning, program, implement and manage electrical installations and devices, operate, monitory, diagnosis, perform several maintenance activities and repair in industrial installations, along with the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance plans in specific systems, electromechanical, electrical and mechanical equipments.
Access Conditions
Under Decree-Law no. 63/2016, of 13 September and in line with Decree-Law no. 113/2014, of 16 July, with Decree-Law no. 65/2018, of 16 August and with the Regulations for Access and Admission to the Higher Professional Technical Courses of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra – Higher Institute of Engineering of Coimbra.

Professional Outlets
CTeSP in Electromechanical Maintenance proposes to train qualified technicians, specially dedicated to perform the following functions:
• Conceive and execute technical methodologies and interventions in renewable energy equipment.
• Evaluate computational programming techniques to implement maintenance plans.
• Control the application of legal norms and technical rules at low voltage, applicable to electrical installations.
• Monitor equipment, systems and / or installations of an electromechanical, electrical or electronic nature in accordance with the maintenance plan.
• Plan and execute technological manufacturing processes, including machining and welding operations.
• Perform and control electromechanical maintenance operations at the level of human resources and equipment.
• Design and execute technical methodologies and advanced maintenance interventions.
• Perform interventions and repair equipment, systems and or installations of an electromechanical, electrical or electronic nature in order to improve their operational characteristics and prepare technical reports on them.
• Apply techniques in the field of electrotechnics, electricity and electronics and use the most appropriate instruments for troubleshooting and maintaining systems and equipment with electrical and electronic componentes.
• Apply techniques in the field of mechanics, using appropriate equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance of systems.
• Design, evaluate and repair Industrial Automations.
