Higher Technical Professional Course in Quality, Environment and Safety Management (Oliveira do Hospital)

The course aims to train professional technicians who, independently or integrated into a team, mastering the appropriate techniques and best practices, are able to plan and coordinate the implementation and promote the improvement of quality, environment and safety management systems, in accordance with the relevant standards and applicable laws, contributing to the efficiency and competitiveness of organizations.

Applicants to CTeSP may be: – Holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification; – Students who have been approved in the older-than-23 exams, specially designed to assess the capacity for higher education attendance; – The holders of a technological specialisation diploma, a higher technician and vocational diploma or a higher education degree, with the purpose of their professional requalification.

Exercise of the following functions:
a) Identify the best strategic options applied to different contexts and situations, from the perspective of quality management, environment and security;
b) Research and apply legislation, regulations and standards inherent in the different specific sectors of intervention;
c) Plan and coordinate the steps for implementing information systems quality, environment and safety management;
d) Prepare technical documentation related to the specific areas intervention measures;
e) Design diversified documentary supports to disseminate information, at all levels of the organization, within the scope of quality, environment and safety management;
f) Define and implement measurement and monitoring indicators;
g) Plan and coordinate the implementation of integrated systems for management;
h) Use statistical process control techniques;
i) Control and handle measurement, monitoring equipment and control;
j) Define statistical and reliability parameters applicable to contracts intervention texts on quality, environment and safety management;
k) Control the metrological conformity of the measuring equipment diction;
l) Use techniques for diagnosing the environmental performance of institutions;
m) To draw up and apply checklists on compliance with legislation related to health and safety at work;
n) Elaborate and apply checklists of hazards and risks;
o) Apply risk identification, control and assessment techniques;
p) To implement professional risk control programs in industrial environment;
q) Apply the rules and procedures for acting in situations of emergency;
r) Apply communication techniques appropriate to the context of intervention;
s) Apply the rules of safety, hygiene, health and environmental protection concerning professional activity;
t) Use auditing techniques to management systems;
u) Use techniques for the development and implementation of programs but improvements associated with quality, environment and safety.

Portuguese; English (course of English Language).

a) Support top management in controlling aspects that concern quality, the environment and safety in the organization;
b) Participate, together with top management, in the definition of the quality, environment and safety policy and objectives and in the identification of the processes and resources necessary for the implementation of the management system taking into account the defined policy and objectives;
c) Articulate, with the top management and with the other functional areas, the quality, environment and safety management strategy so that the objectives can converge in the development of the organization’s global strategy;
d) Control the documentation, records and data analysis of the quality, environment and safety management system;
e) Control the monitoring and measurement devices;
f) Streamline internal and external communication in the relevant aspects of the quality, environment and safety management system;
g) Participate in the treatment of non-conformities and develop corrective and preventive action programs;
h) Develop and implement continuous improvement programs;
i) Identify the competencies necessary for the recruitment and selection of employees to perform functions that affect the quality of the product and / or service;
j) Elaborate and coordinate an organization’s audit program, contributing to the determination of the effectiveness of its management system;
k) Carry out audits to the quality, environment and safety management system, in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9001 standards, NP EN ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and the applicable legislation;
l) To accompany the certifying entities and / or external audits in the certification process;
m) Collaborate in the analysis and assessment of customer satisfaction through quality management techniques, in accordance with the applicable normative references;
n) Collaborate in the review of quality, environment and safety management systems.
