Occupational Risk Assessment and Control

Teaching Methodologies

Expository and interactive classes using audiovisual and interactive means, using audiovisual means allow the acquisition of knowledge. The practical matrix will be carried out experimentally, using techniques and working methods that guide the implementation of safety principles, namely through simulation of work contexts.
Assessment methodology in accordance with current assessment regulations.
Continuous assessment includes an assessment test for each of the matrices of the curricular unit in which students must obtain a minimum score of 9.5 in all matrices:
(TP) Written evaluation – 60%
(P) Practical assessment – 40%

Learning Results

The student must acquire knowledge of:
– Legislation applicable to the field of knowledge
– Hazards and risks associated with different sectors of activity and production methods
– Work and protection techniques and equipment
– Tools for risk assessment
– Systems and equipment for risk control
The student must acquire skills to:
– Identify occupational hazards and risks
– Define risk assessment, protection and control systems
– Define the monitoring plan of implemented measures
The student must acquire competences to:
– Coordinate and control occupational risk assessment and control activities
– Develop preventive and/or corrective action plans
– Raise awareness among workers
