Course Objectives
Microaccreditation in Person-Centered Practice in Physiotherapy aims to provide the physiotherapist with skills that allow, at a specialized level, to understand not only the physical condition of the person, but also their values, preferences, social and emotional context and how these can influence your condition. These competencies are directly related to person-centered practice as they involve technical skills, scientific knowledge, and the ability to understand concerns, establish treatment goals that align with the person’s goals and values, and collaborate with them to make informed decisions to self-management of their condition, as well as communicating effectively, in order to adapt interventions and care to the individual needs of each person/user/patient and/or family members/caregivers.
