Course Objectives
The Postgraduate Course in Biochemistry and Hematology: from laboratory to clinic aims to provide Clinical Analysis and Public Health (ACSP) professionals with a specialization in Clinical-Laboratory Biochemistry and Hematology. The vast expansion of biomarkers in both health and disease, in the different areas of ACSP intervention, as well as the evolution of new methodologies and laboratory technologies to support diagnosis, prognosis and clinical monitoring, provide the need for differentiated training. In response to scientific and technological developments, postgraduate studies seek to provide and complement advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of proteomics, lipidomics, cytomics, metabolomics, endocrinology, biochemistry of human development, oncology, hematology, inflammatory pathophysiology, neurodegenerative diseases versus healthy aging. This tool aims to enhance a response to the needs introduced in the area of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies and promote specialization of professionals in the exercise in order to provide a quality response within the scope of multidisciplinary health teams.
