Logistic Innovation in Distribution Networks

Learning Results

The main objective of this UC is to make students aware of the importance of distribution networks within the scope ofthe logistical function
and in a perspective of integrated management of the supply chain. The highlight goes to the logistical innovationbrought about by the new challenges posed
to management, optimization and monitoring of the entire decision process.
As specific objectives, it is important to mention the awareness of students to:
O1- a set of techniques to optimize the operation of networks;
O2- the logistical integration of warehouse/transport/distribution dimensions;
O3- supply chain management.
The proposed approach aims to develop skills in the scope of:
C1- the decision process in distribution networks
C2- optimized management of distribution networks;
C3- the quantitative treatment of distribution logistic management problems
C4- planning and scheduling distribution activities.
