Computer - Aided Design Drawing

Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methodology is based on two learning processes:
EXPOSITIVE METHOD, in theoretical-practical classes, in which knowledge is transmitted using the exposure and demonstration of
subjects inherent to each theme, encouraging reflection on subjects studied
ACTIVE METHOD, in practical laboratory classes, based on the principle of self-training, in which the student resorts to analysing and
testing experimental models, promoting intellectual training and practical skills. Students are supported in solving the proposed practical
exercises.

Learning Results

It is intended that the student masters and applies elementary knowledge necessary for project design in civil construction, based on the
human dimension in its most varied aspects, developing design techniques through simple practical exercises, using different scales of
representation , promoting the connection between architectural design and the design of the various specialties linked to the construction
sector. Students are also made aware of the importance of understanding the aesthetic component when associated with content
developed in other subjects.
The skills to be acquired are:
– Apply concepts and methodologies for representing technical drawing;
– Understand written and drawn parts of a project;
– Use software to support design and construction;
– Master current construction processes;
– Know the procedures and players in the construction sector;
– Characterise necessary materials and equipment.
