Teaching Methodologies

The planned teaching methodologies include expository and inquisitive dynamics, as well as problem-solving, individually or in groups.
Written and oral presentations of reports are also planned in order to develop written and oral communication skills.
Assessment is carried out through the development of practical work (individual and/or group) throughout the semester and an individual
Final Written Exam on the topics taught, in which the student must achieve at least half of the mark to pass.

Learning Results

Objectives: The aim of this course is to introduce students to the issues of sustainability and sustainable development and their connection
to the construction sector.
The concepts of sustainability will be introduced and some of the main methodologies used to assess the sustainability of construction will
be presented.
The evolution of urban regeneration concepts and methodologies will be addressed and their link to and contribution to sustainable
development will be presented and discussed.
Development of skills related to the analysis of the construction process from the point of view of sustainability, and the development of
proposals for its improvement. Development of generic communication, research and self-learning skills; evaluation and decision-making.
